Station visit by Wolverley Beavers in January 2018
Sadly we are called to deal with the aftermath of tragedy on far too many occasions. In many of these cases, lives are destroyed by a lack of knowledge and respect for an environment which takes no prisoners.
SARA is committed to deliver safety education to schools and groups in the hope that deaths can be prevented. The Wyre Forest team is involved in an annual project called Young Citizens involving many organisations to teach water safety to local schools.
Our crew members also deliver water safety talks and presentations to cubs, guides, scouts and any other community groups who come and visit our station. We also annually deliver volunteering and citizenship presentations to post-16 Public Service Courses at our local Kidderminster College and visit students at our local schools.
All of our educational programs and talks are free of charge in the hope that the knowledge provided to young people can save a life in the future. However, any donations are greatly appreciated.
