Mobile Rescue Units

Mobile Response Units (MRUs)

Our response units, known as MRUs are the workhorses of the team. They allow us to reach those in need over difficult terrain and carry the equipment that we need. Each vehicle has a specific role to fulfill, but all are utilized to pull our rescue boats. Each MRU is known and referred to by its call-sign and the prefix 'Mobile'.

Mobile 4

The role of this vehicle is to carry rescue personnel with minimal amount of rescue equipment. This allows them to get quickly to an incident and perform a snatch rescue if appropriate.  It is the primary response vehicle, this means it will be first to leave the station. The crew on board will tend be the most experienced of the available crew, one of which will be a Team Leader.

Mobile 6

Mobile 6 is the teams kit carrier vehicle. It carries the bulk of our specialist rescue equipment and other basic supplies to keep the primary team going. A recent alteration to this vehicle has seen new hatches in the rear compartment which means quicker access to life saving kit.
